I doubt b/w A and C as to me both seems to be a case of RUN-ON sentence.

In C, each of which , I am not sure whether it can fix RUN-ON error. If it can act as a subordinating conjunction then C is the answer.

I am sure it is either A or C
C is more correct

only problem with C is each of them sounds more correct than each of which

but if we say each of them in A,'them' can refer to anything ...
so C more clear as well

IMO - A

Each of them is the right construction .

Subgroup Modifier can take three forms as per Manhattan GMAT
1. some of which were
2. some of them
3. some only.

where some can be replaced by SANAM pronouns or many , each

Them is wrong , each is singular => A and B are out
Which should be preceded by either "Comma" or "of, at, in"

C => wrong modification. Finger like projection is taste pore and not the opening.

D => wrong modification. Finger like projection is taste pore and not the opening.

Answer E

IMO C!
E cannot be the answer as after "each of which" we cannot say HAVE, it should be has, becasue each of which should be singular.
