GMAT prep course advise

by the_keeper » Mon Jul 06, 2009 8:16 pm
Hello everyone,

my name is tariq syed...aka TQ. i'm currently an engineering student at the university of michigan. i have 2 more semesters left. i'm also interning at a multinational conglomerate. i will return next semester to complete another internship. i figured since i will have a lot of free time, i might as well study for the GMAT. i plan to obtain an MBA in the near future. i was reading eric's post about how taking the GMAT once you graduate college is better since your studying habits are fresh. i went through his list of suggested study guides. my question pertains to the Manhattan GMAT prep. i notice eric only mentions SC Manhattan GMAT study guide. What about the other study guides they offer, such as critical reasoning, number properties etc... are these helpful?

i would really appreciate any general advice also.

thank you all......stay tuned for more.... :D

Bless...

Some find the logical reasoning portions of the LSAT study prep helpful. I also very much like the official GMAC software which is available for download or purchase. Good luck and congrats on taking advantage of "down time." The fact that you are thinking this way tells me you are indeed b-school material. Just remember that your score is only good for 5 years, which is getting close to the average number of years work experience among top school applicants, so plan accordingly.
