Hello. I am korean, using English as good as a smart 10year-old native kid. I have been studying GMAT for 4months. But my score is like a blind guy who doesn't know where to go.

For I am Korean, I strongly belive that I have decent math skills. However, my lame english ability holds me very tightly.

Here is my GMAT journey so far.

Official GMAT 460(2013/april) - did not study till July -
GMATPrep Exam 1 Q44 V22 550(2013/August)
GMATPrep Exam 2 Q47 V28 620(2013/Sep.)
Veritas Q46 V28 590(2013/Oct.)
Official GMAT Q35 V22 500(2013/Nov.)
MGMAT CAT Q37 V30 560(2013/Nov./11)
MGAMT CAT Q38 V32 580(2013/Dec./4)

As you see my verbal score is improving which makes me quite happy. On the other hand, the quant suffers a lot from something that I don't even know.

What I am currently doing is 2hour reading from Harvard Magagine, American Technology, Smith Soninan Magazine, The Economist and Aljazeera news everyday. I pick one interesting article from each source then read in summarizing each paragraph and describe the stucture of an article. Also, I review verbal section and then strengthen my weakeness.

For quant, I merely review what I've got wrong from CATs. I figured out that I can solve almost every question but I spend too much time. Furthermore, there are so many mistakes because of poor understanding. Beside, the time limitation makes my hands sweaty and does my head a vaccum state.
I don't quite manipulate all the information given such as answer choices. Once I notice that I cannot fully understand a question, my mental goes to astral world.

My family is poor and I am the first one who studies abroad. I fotunately got scholoarship and graduated a college in the U.S. And story goes on, an amazing chance approched, a free MBA and Ph.D program in the U.S offered by the chair of the college I graduated.

I cannot stay on GMAT studying any longer. I should work and contribute to my family. However, I have decided to be a greedy person only this one time, pursuing what I really want to do regardless my circumstance.

I will take one last GMAT on January, 2014. Whatever score comes out, I will stop.

At least, 650 is needed to get into the program. I have one month left that I can all spend for GMAT. Help me.

Hi newind2000,

I'm no expert but I think you must try to find the Powerscore CR Bible to improve in Critical Reasoning. Go through it in detail and practice on OG questions. Many of the strategies apply to Reading Comprehension too. That should help improve your score.
If you are happy with quant, practice on OG questions. I'd also recommend trying the Veritas tests which (according to me) are closer to the actual GMAT than the Manhattan tests.

All the best!
