It is x(y-1)(y+1)/y
It is x(y-1)(y+1)/y

It is x(y-1)(y+1)/y
ab=x implies a^2.b^2 = x^2 or b^2 = x^2/a^2 = x^2/xy = x/y
So, a^2-b^2 = xy - x/y = (x.y^2 - x)/y = x(y^2 -1)/y = x(y-1)(y+1)/y
