Is the Kaplan CAT much harder than the real test? I know two people that were getting in the high 500's and low 600's but ended up getting 680 and 690 on the real test. I am trying to gage whether I should try to get in that range on a Kaplan CAT before taking the one from the GMAC web site.

Website exams are a little closer to the actual GMAT than the CD ones but overall they are harder. From my personal experience and what I have read on various forums, Kaplan score tends to be around 50 pts below what you'd score on the real exam. This is of course a gross generalization.
