I some how find a similarity between these :

What is the key for these answer choices? Both seem to be fairly similar.

I think it is a case of pronoun agreement or pronoun reference. B and C for me
You can, for example never foretell what any one man will do, but you can say with precision what an average number will be up to!

Sentence 1:
{A} - INCORRECT; "with" is incorrect...
{B} - CORRECT; "its..." Absolute phrase
{C} - INCORRECT; "considered as" .. "as" is redundant..
{D} - INCORRECT; awkward sentence .. "verb" is missing
{E} - INCORRECT; awkward sentence .. "verb" is missing; "to be" is redundant. non-idomatic

Sentence 2
{A} - INCORRECT; "as a result of" creates wrong meaning
{B} - INCORRECT; "prevented" is an adjective and is not parallel to "can"' also "having" gives a meaning that sound is preventing
{C} - CORRECT; "its..." is absolute phrase..
{D} - INCORRECT; "being" is not needed; "as a result of" is creating wrong meaning
{E} - INCORRECT; meaning issue...

The catch here is .. don't assume that if the part of sentence start from possessive pronoun then it's wrong..
More examples of Absolute Phrase:
- He tiptoed across the room, his heart pounding like a kettle
- Joan looked nervous, her fears creeping up
