Let x = 10a + b
Then a + b = 4
(1) x is odd does not give us an exact information about the values of a and b.
If a = 1 and b = 3, then x = 13
If a = 3 and b = 1 then x = 31
So, (1) is NOT SUFFICIENT.

(2) 2x < 44 or x < 22 or (10a + b) < 22
If a = 1 and b = 3 then x = 13, which is the only possible value of x.
So, (2) is SUFFICIENT.

The correct answer is [spoiler](B)[/spoiler].

If the sum of the digits of the positive two-digit number x is 4, what is the value of x?

Pradeep is the 2nd stmnt correct?

Stmnt 1 is not suff : X = 10a+b
X could be 13 or 31

Stmtnt 2: If it is correct then B is sufficient
13 is the only number which satisfies teh criteria(edited it,posted 22 by typo)
