A mixture consists of two substances, liquid A and liquid B. The mixture consists of 300 liters of which 24 percent is liquid A. If 100 liters of liquid A are added to the mixture, what percent of the resulting mixture is liquid A ?

A) 24%

B) 35%

C) 43%

D) 54%

E) 57%

The % of liq A in the earlier solution is 72. After 100 units are added the quantity of A will be 172 in a total solution of 400 (300+100 which was added later).
Concentration as a %age = 172*100/400=43%
