This question looks very different... What's the source of this question...

Are you sure this is m*k or is it m^k???


In any case, I will go with D if it is m*k

Q wants to evaluate mk=2k

Stmt 1 m>2... for any value of m, k=2 will always satisfy the condtion... so SUFF

Stmt 2 mk > 2k means m>2..... same as stmt 1.. SUFF

I'm going to have to go with C.

because,

M > 2

If M is 4, and k is a positive integer (2) then 4(2) = 2(4) which is 8 = 8

Same if you made m = 6....... 6(2) = 2(6) = 12 = 12

Then Part two ensures that K doesn't become a high positive integer keeping it at 2....

If not C then E.......

Sorry I am torn between these two answers and I just started GMATs and have yet to get a grasp of the strategies to this Data Sufficiency problems...

Whats the correct answer and why?
