Too many job changes ?

by aman.k » Sun Mar 02, 2014 8:26 am
Hi,

I worked with a company (A) for 1+ year and then joined another company (B). I've been working at B for about 1.5 years and am now considering a job change (to C). All the companies (A,B,C) are leading brands of the same industry. I need your advice on whether this job change would hamper my MBA application. Is a resume with 3 jobs in 3 years at the time of application considered bad ? Also, would it be different if I go back to the first company A from B ?

Please advise
Thanks

Hi Aman,

Great question but need a LITTLE more info. What were you doing at A? Why'd you go to B? What do you do there now? What's the opp at C? If you went back to A, would you be doing the same things? Different things? More importantly, BETTER things?

3 jobs in 3 years is a fair number but as long as you can weave it all together in a story that makes sense, that's all that really matters at the end of the day. Job changes have a stigma in general society that the application process tends to mitigate somewhat.

So - if you could let me know a little more - I'm happy to help!
