Scored more than 600 in all mock tests and scored a mere 410 in the GMAT. what should i do? should i appear again? and even if i do and score over 600-650 will this 410 haunt me in admissions??
please let me know what impact does the previous GMAT score have in admissions

Hi preeti shukla,

As a general rule, Business Schools don't care if you take the GMAT more than once, so you shouldn't worry about that.

The immediate issue is trying to figure out WHY your Official GMAT score was so much lower than your practice CAT scores. That type of score drop usually means that your studies were unrealistic in some way. What CATs were you taking? Did you take the ENTIRE CAT (including the Essay and IR sections) each time you took the Test?

hello rich,

Actually i used to solve only the quants and verbal sections until the last couple of tests. But i even scored 680 in the GMAT Prep and never expected such a drastic fall. Just want some guidance on preparation.

Preeti

Were you nervous? Or maybe did you mess up on writing in the answers?
Anyhow, since you have been testing soooo much higher, you GOTTA retake!
And good luck!
