UCLA Basketball Fan: I am so glad that college basketball changed its rules and put in a shot clock. When there was no clock, a team with inferior ability could keep the ball away from other team by passing it around the entire game. The winning team should be the one that is better at shooting baskets, not at playing keep away.
North Carolina BasketBall Fan: I disgree. The object of basketball is to win. If keep away is the way for a team to win, it should do so.

The North Carolina fan's response indicates that he has misunderstood the UCLA fan's remark to mean

A. games without a shot clock are boring
B. true basketball does not involve a game of keep-away
C. it is unwise to use a keep-away strategy, even when permitted to do so.
D. a game with a shot clock is better than a game without one.
E. the best team doesnt always win

A. games without a shot clock are boring - irrelevant the passage doesnt say anything about this
B. true basketball does not involve a game of keep-away - doesnt say that keep away is true basketball.
C. it is unwise to use a keep-away strategy, even when permitted to do so -
D. a game with a shot clock is better than a game without one.
E. the best team doesnt always win- nothing said about best team

C& D remain and we need to eliminate one of them.

The winning team should be the one that is better at shooting baskets, not at playing keep away. This is conclusion by UCLA Basketball Fan.
Premise 1:I am so glad that college basketball changed its rules and put in a shot clock.
Premise 2:When there was no clock,a team with inferior ability could keep the ball away from other team by passing it around the entire game.

North Carolina fan disagrees with the conclusion of first fan:-The winning team should be the one that is better at shooting baskets, not at playing keep away.

When there was no clock,a team with inferior ability could keep the ball away from other team by passing it around the entire game.

The object of basketball is to win. If keep away is the way for a team to win, it should do so.

As per this statement team cannot win by playing keep away is what he misunderstood. Keep away is still allowed in the game.
