Should I retake the GMAT?

by summertime » Tue Aug 25, 2009 1:27 pm
Please evaluate my profile:

African American female, undergraduate GPA was 3.4. Four years of work experience for a statistical agency-- 3 years as an analyst and 1 year as a supervisor. I also have a graduate certificate in statistics. I scored pretty low on my GMAT with a 540 (Q-29 and V--35) and want to attend Georgia State University part time program.

Do I need to retake my GMAT?

You should find out the range of GMAT scores of accepted applicants and aim to be solidly within the 80% range. More than likely, you will need to retake the GMAT. Before doing so, be sure to allocate the necessary amount of time to preparation and review.
