We are asked if y^2>x^3. x and y are non-zero integers. I did this by testing numbers.
Let's look at statement 1:
x> y> -4.
For y=-3, x=-2 we have y^2 > x^3 (9 > -8)
For y=1, x=5 we have y^2 < x^3 (1 < 125)
Insufficient.
For statement 2:
|y| > |x|
For y = 3, x=-2 we have y^2>x^3 ( 9>-8)
For y = 4, x=3 we have y^2 < x^3 ( 16 < 27)
