Hi all,

I am wondering whether there is a thread or forum category dedicated to exploring the types of jobs that MBA graduates can pursue. Perhaps also a gathering of what prospective students intend to do (or concentrate in) once they are in b school, and why as a result they may choose one school over another.

I think this would help some of the readers on this forum. It beats analyzing it by yourself from just reading the school's website. But I do realize that it's a bit of a digression from the "beat the gmat" title :P.

Hi Andy,
Great question. Basically, sky is the limit for top MBA grads. However, there are several traditional post-MBA career paths - partly because these industries/career paths recruit heavily at top programs (and provide good salaries which helps pay down high student loans)

Here are a few:

Finance
-Corporate Finance / Acct
-Investment Banking
-Sales and Trading
-Private Equity
-Venture Capital

Marketing
-Brand Management
-Marketing Agency

Consulting / Strategy
-Consulting Firm
-Internal Consulting
-Corporate Development
