Essay questions
Applicants to the Class of 2029 (starting fall 2027) answer three essays:
Business-minded essay (300 words): Please reflect on how your choices have influenced your career path and aspirations.
Leadership-focused essay (250 words): What experiences have shaped how you invest in others and how you lead?
Growth-oriented essay (250 words): Curiosity can be seen in many ways. Please share an example of how you have demonstrated curiosity and how that has influenced your growth.
Joint degree applicants (Harvard Medical School, Dental Medicine, Law School, Kennedy School, and the MS/MBA Biotechnology: Life Sciences program) also answer: How do you expect the joint degree experience to benefit you on both a professional and a personal level? (up to 400 words). MS/MBA Engineering Sciences applicants describe their past work in entrepreneurship, design, and innovation and why they want a program with this focus (about 500 words). An optional essay is also open to everyone.
