weekend programs?

by djc225 » Tue Oct 23, 2012 12:01 pm
some of the top schools offer part time weekend programs...for various reasons i dont intend to move my family to attend an MBA, so the weekend programs are appealing...anyone consider doing one far from their home town? or heard stories of someone who did?

the columbia part-time/weekend mba is especially appealing though i live a few hours from the city, so not sure how realistic that would be.

thoughts?

I have heard of lots of people in lots of schools who do commute to weekend programs. Some schools even publish statistics (i.e. what percentage of the student body commutes and from where), and if not you may even ask the school to hook you up with someone who does. Yet, your commute shouldn't be too hard that it makes you not want to go, or something. And an easy direct transport option will help you a lot
