Hi,

Most people seem to offer cookie cutter profile evaluations, which are hardly insightful. But, I have noticed that on this forum, the advice given out by Admission consultants are more genuine.

I am writing here on this forum to have my candidacy evaluated for 2014 MBA program at the following schools :
IE, IESE, INSEAD, ESADE, HEC, Said, Judge

GMAT Score : 660 (81%ile) | Verbal 33 (66%ile) | Quant (80%ile)

TOEFL : 110

Gender | Age| Nationality : Female | 26 Yrs | Indian

City : Bangalore

Education : Engineering (Graduated within Top5% of my class with 79% aggregate)

Work Ex : 4 Yrs with a leading automobile manufacturing firm

Work Profile : Handle several portfolios from Project planning and management across various capital projects to planning and controlling the plant budget.

Extra Curricular Activities :
* Member of my company's women's running team
* Played college level basketball, represented college on the athletics team, won several awards in art while on the college cultural team.

Leadership Roles :
* Social Media campaign strategist for the re-election campaign of my local assembly elected leader
* Held several leadership roles while volunteering with a local NGO that works on promoting participatory democracy in local governance.
* Founder of a CSR initiative at workplace, which has been running for the last 3 years with 30 volunteers. This program imparts civic education to youth from rural regions of my state.
* Headed the IEEE student chapter in my college

Post MBA Goals : To work as a generalist in the manufacturing practice of a top consulting firm, gain enough experience and then move on to heading a manufacturing firm.

My biggest concerns are my unbalanced GMAT score and being able to make my work profile stand out over my extra-curricular activities.

Would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Well, basically the big glaring hole in your profile is the GMAT, and if you really want to make it into the schools on your list, I'd suggest retaking and not stopping till you get 40+ points higher. Otherwise your profile is good enough to get into these schools (okay INSEAD will be tough no matter what), but if you apply with a 700+ then you will have a real chance.
