I'm having some difficulty determining which schools fit me best. Most advice I have seen recommends deciding what one wants out of an MBA and then go from there. But what to do if I have no idea?

I don't have any business experience but I work in national security. I would be interested in pursuing the business side of the industry, but again I really don't know.

As defense isn't a typical sector that MBA graduates move into...very, very few programs discuss or advertise anything related to that.

My first inclination with this issue is simply...go to the best school I can get in to...since I don't really have any other guiding factors.

Anyone have any advice for me?

Please give some more details:

1) Undergrad - which college? GPA?
2) How long have you been working with security?
3) What is your work profile? How big a team have you been leading?

Have some clarity on your goals because for any top-notch B-school goal clarity is of utmost importance.
