Well me posting here clearly tells that i'm eyeing to persue my MBA from some good B-School.
I'm extremely new to this catchy GMAT world, so have hell lot of questions bubbling out.Thankfully many have been answered reading the posts.

But still i'll ask few...

1.Is it the right time to gear up for me considering my profile, as m targeting of Fall 2012 as do or die attempt ?

2.What should be the optimum range of score i must achieve to get through top 15 B-schools, with considerable "scholorship"?

3.Is GMAT score valuable enough to change the not that good academics history already created by me? If yes what's the range?

4.Is it a better option to get in touch with the consultant? If so how much do they charge approx.? Which are the gud ones in B'lore/Mumbai area?

5.I have few names in my mind like Harvard, Cornell, INSEAD, Stanford, HEC, Fuqua, ISB, Kellogg, NUS...like all newbie...
Do i stand any chance for them at this moment? What should i be doing to have one?

6.Which are the good B-Schools which are more liberal in terms of Scholarships?

Looking forward to a great support and "Beat d GMAT" feeling !

Regards

Hi Anurag,

An honest advice. You are running too fast and aiming too high. It might happen that with what you have in mind you might end up in not getting even an interview call.

Sikkim Manipal in not a top ranked univ. So, you will loose points there. Your experience is far below average both in terms of duration and quality. Extra currics are pretty average.

Don't take it otherwise but do a reality check. With the current profile you can't even dream of Harvard, Stanford, INSEAD, Kellogg.

Here are our advice:

Focus on GMAT and dont think about any school. try getting a 750+ to even make it worth trying to schools like ISB, NUS, Cornell. Dont even think about the other 4 schools. Also, top US schools dont offer much scholarship and even if tey do its very very tough.

If you can wait for one year, do that, crack the GMAT and in the meantime work on your profile.

Again, apologies for being direct but we are sure that this will help you plan better.
