Hi,
I'm not sure what to do with the parent information portion of the MBA application. Both of my parents were born overseas, and neither of them have attended a four year university (my father has an AA degree). They're both very sharp individuals, but on paper, they look unimpressive. I know that it helps your chances of admission when you add your parents to your application if they hold c-suite positions at connected companies or if they are alumni. I'm wondering if adding my parents given their backgrounds would hurt my application?
I'm a 700+ former banking analyst. I work for a startup now, and I'm applying to Booth, where I think I am a good applicant for investment management. Again, that said, I'm not sure if I disclosing or not disclosing my parents' information would hurt my chances for admission.
I would appreciate your input. Thanks.
