Does MBA Admissions averages GMAT Score?

by Veritas » Mon Jan 24, 2011 4:57 am
Dear colleagues,
I need your advice

I started preparing for GMAT on the last week. I'm going to take gmat at august 2010 and apply on the first rounds at September-October 2011, but I found local sponsorship program for funding MBA, they requiring me take GMAT on the next week and I'm not sure with my good results now
My Questions: if I'm fail (if I'll receive a low score on GMAT) on the next week - will it be a problem in future applyings to TOP-5 Business Schools?
Example: if I'll receive a low score now (ex. 400) and will continue my preparation and will take a second attempt in August and will receive a score, for example 760. In this case top-5 Business Schools will average GMAT scores between first and second attempts?

Thanks
Will be waiting for your advice.

Veritas,

No, they don't average scores. They take your highest score. Some schools will even take your highest verbal and quant scores from two different tests ...
