I recently gave the GRE and score only 1290 (580v, 710Q). I planned of getting into CMU's MSCF program but with my current score I'm worried that my chances of getting into CMU is very low. Please tell me if it's possible for me to get an admit for the CMU's finance program.

My other options were
1. NYU (Management and systems)
2. USC (MS in Finance)
3. Columbia (MFE)

Do I have a chance of getting into any of these colleges?

I did my Bachelors in Information Technology and scored 81% (top 5 percentile in college and I was the topper in my second year)
Currently I work for the media as a Marketing agent. (i have less than 2 months experience)

Hello,

Unfortunately, the 710 would be on the low side for that type of program in that level of schools. I think CMU (and the other programs) would probably be a reach - whether reasonable or not I'm not quite sure. However there may be other factors in your candidacy weighing in your favor, such as your excellent and relevant undergrad record. I suggest you speak with the adcoms of these programs and get a sense of their receptivity. I'm sure at least some of them would willingly talk to you about it.

Best regards,
