Hi ,
Can you indicate how i should calculate and mention my GPA in the B School's application.
My dilemma is that we are not awarded GPA from the University but rather are given a percentage score. The average percentage in different university boards of India varies wildly. For example, in Gujarat state, an engineering student (Bachelor's Degree) can expect to graduate with an 80% quite easily while in Uttar Pradesh , a 65% is considered an achievement.
I was in the top 5% of students in graduation but got a final percentage of 69%. What GPA should i mention to the schools on a scale of 4 ?

Hello,

The adcoms understand the grading scales of Indian universities, as they have many applicants from throughout India and are quite accustomed to working with the Indian grade scales. Moreover, schools vary in how they want you to report the score. I suggest checking with each school and following their advice for their application. And being in the top 5% is very impressive - congratulations! If the online form doesn't allow you to make that point, then be sure to clarify it in an optional essay!

Best regards,
