Profile Evaluation

by rwhyte » Sun Sep 08, 2013 12:13 pm
Hello Experts,

I'm looking for a profile evaluation:

GMAT: 700 (42Q, 44V)

27 year old male
3.7 GPA at large public university (transfer from a Small Ivy)
Ex- 2 sport college athlete
4 years work experience in Healthcare IT consulting/ Project management

Post MBA I'm looking to get into finance/ consulting

Looking to apply to Fuqua, McCombs, Owen, Tepper, HBS, Booth and Northwestern. What are my chances?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

In short, you have a strong enough profile that I think you can focus almost exclusively on top 16 schools. Choose 2-3 from the top 8, and 2-3 from the top 16, and maybe 1 safety school outside the top 16.

So that breaks down to:

HBS, Booth, Kellogg
Fuqua + two of Ross/Darden/Yale/Cornell/Stern/UCLA/Haas
McCombs or Tepper

With that range of schools, you should have a decent shot at getting into a few, assuming you do a good job on the applications and interviews.
