I scored 620 in GMAT (Q50 V23) .My GPA of M.Sc is 3.06 and I have 2.5 years of work experience.

Is there any chances for me to get admission to canadian business schools????

Same question here! I got 610 and applying to UBC and Schulich. Undergrad GPA 3.1 with last two years 3.3... any chance?

I'm in the same boat and will be applying to UBC, 610 with 3.7. From what I can tell, I like our chances. It appears they don't take a lot, and I figure diversity would be good (I'm from Texas). I might look at Univ of Alberta just for location, but to be honest if the cost is the same, I'm staying here and going to middle tier program.

I think that it'd be not very difficult to get through a good canadian school with those kind of scores you guys have. It'd be quite tough to make it to the top 3,but yes not very difficult to make it to the top 10 canadian schools.

I interviewed with a Rotman (U of Toronto) adcom at an MBA fair, and her response to my 610 GMAT score was that I wouldn't be rejected because of it. I may not get scholarships, but it didn't reduce my chances of admission.

Hey guys

here's some good news. I just got admitted into Rotman and Schulich with a 610 GMAT. I was admitted without an interview.

However I had quality essays and references plus I networked heavily with the adcom for both schools during MBA fairs and kept in touch via e-mails.

Focus on your essays and you should be good to go.

I have a similar question.

I too got a 620 gmat. I have 4 years full time experience, and I can't remember my GPA, I think it was between a B+ and an A- depending on how you calculate it (it wasn't scaled on a 4.0 system). I am applying to UBC.

what do you think my chances are? do you think I should try to do the GMAT again? or just focus on my essays? I am pretty confident in my references as well. it's so hard to tell what you should focus on and what will help and what isn't worth it.

does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm no expert but I think applying early helps.

UBC compared to Rotman should be easier to get into and a 620 falls in their range.

Call their admissions offices (I made a lot of calls before I applied)

but from my perspective focus on your essays and not re-writing unless you want to go to Ivey or something.
