Hi everyone:

In the last week, I've run into some problems with website uptime. I'm currently using 1and1 to host Beat The GMAT, but I'm starting to think it may be necessary to move to something that is bigger and better in order to keep this website running properly.

Does anyone have any suggestions for good webhosting? Something cheap would be nice...

Thanks!

Eric,

I'm a web designer, and the clients I work with swear by GoDaddy. I don't think it's exactly "economical" but in terms of uptime and analysis information- it's brilliant.

I think they have some sort of trial offer- not sure. You could find out and decide.

(PS: 1&1 has some shady advertising too- I think their servers are holed up in some not nice places)

Thanks for the tip, wildrebel! I just purchased new hosting with GoDaddy.com, and I got (what I think to be) a great rate: $143.17 for 24 months, with a lot more features/space as well as a 99.9% service uptime guarantee.

I'll be transitioning to this new server over the next 3 months...
