Starting Tonight

by roger19 » Mon Nov 03, 2008 10:09 am
Starting my veritas class tonight..... my goal is a 700. The class I am taking ends a week before Christmas. In a perfect world I would take it before Christmas. I work from 7-5, with some dead times throughout the day so I would be able to sneak in some studying during the day, wiht dedicating night and weekends to studying. Any advice/suggestions?

Thanks,
Roger

I advise my students to focus on the problems in the Veritas guides and the OG - you don't need anything else. The best way to study is to apply the Veritas strategies to the OG questions - you'll quickly notice that the way the OG does something is usually not the best way to do a problem! Also, the Veritas class is definitely front-loaded, so if you start to fall behind, focus on catching up - not just jumping back in wherever the class happens to be at that point.

Optimally, you'd spend about two or three hours per day studying on non-class days, plus a practice test once per week, and one day off. Sneaking in a few minutes of practice during the workday is a great idea, since studying in short burts usually works best.

Good luck!
