If you are planning on applying this Fall then now is definitely the time to get started. If your profile looks good now then aim for round 1. Best of luck!

Getting Started

I'm just beginning to study for the GMAT. I have a target date of early November for taking the GMAT. Is that too late in the application process?

Hi L,
Most school's second rounds deadline is in late-Dec / early-Jan, so you do have time to apply if you are interested. I would encourage you to start the process as soon as possible, as MBA applications do take time.

You might consider picking up an MBA admission book. I am a big fan of the Admissions books - they give you a great overview of the admissions process and top MBA programs. My favorites are: How to Get Into Top MBA Programs by Richard Montauk; and Your MBA Game Plan by Bouknight and Shurm (full disclosure - I work with Veritas Prep, which is affiliated with the book)

Good luck!
