International Development/Consulting

by Hoover » Mon Dec 19, 2011 5:25 pm
I'm curious if anyone can give me feedback on my list of schools that I'm currently applying to for round 2. I've seen in various places that schools are often categorized based on where they place graduates the majority of their graduates. I'm looking to work in International Development and/or Consulting, but I'm also intent on broadening my business knowledge. I have lots of great hands-on work experience, but not much academic background (my undergrad was Poly Sci/Physics). My list is as follows:

LSB
Columbia
Stern
Yale SOM
Georgetown
Thunderbird
UW-Foster Global MBA

Any other suggestions? I'm trying to be as reasonable as I can, combining some dream schools with a couple safer options. When I look at the curriculums of the top 5 schools listed, I see a curriculum that greatly appeals to me, but am I hurting my opportunities because one school might be known as a Finance powerhouse rather than one that is known for global business like a Thunderbird or LSB? Any input would be appreciated.
