The line represented by which of the following equation does not intersect with the line represented by y = 3x2+ 5x+1

a)y = 2x2+ 5x+1

b) y = x2+ 5x+2

c)y = 3x2+ 5x+2

The constant term (i.e. 1) represents the intercept of the curve on y axis. (value of y when x = 0)

Now, in the options, search for a curve with the same co-efficients for x but with different intercept (constant).
Such a curve will always be parallel to the given curve and, therefore, will not intersect the given curve.
