Hi all,

I'm on Day 7 of the study guide and I'm just curious as to how much time should be spent reviewing practice problems each day? I've talked to tutors before that have said to always do the practice problems in 37 question blocks timed w/ 75 minutes and then review afterwards by using a spreadsheet to write a takeaway for each question (i.e. why did i miss this or what could i do better?). I'm not seeing the same level of review in the daily emails, so i'm just wondering if this is necessary?

Similarly, for practice tests i've always been told to take a test, then review next day everything that was missed, too slow, or unclear. I haven't seen this so far for the 60-day guide either...so just would like to hear everyone's thoughts.

Thanks in advance!

Good questions, Alex.

The Guide is designed so that you can master one topic at a time.

So, for example, on one day you might learn everything there is to know about Statistics, and then tackles every Statistics question in the OG (and in the resource you're using, be it the MGMAT books or the GMAT Prep Now videos).

Once you've mastered all of the materials, there are plenty of opportunities to work on your test-taking skills by taking at least 8 full-length practice tests.

There's a practice test on Day 3 to get a baseline score, and then another practice test on Day 22, once you've completed all of the math content. Then another one on Day 43, once you've completed all of the Verbal content.

Here's the complete breakdown of daily activities: https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/gmat-guide-outline

I hope that helps.

Cheers,
Brent
