In a translation class, 40% of a student's grade comes from exams, 30% from written assignments, 20% from conversational practice, and 10% from interpretation. If a student's grades are 94 for exams, 88 for written assignments, 98 for conversational practice, and 85 for interpretation, what is the student's overall grade in the course?

This is a weighted avg question.

So 94 x .40 = 37.6
88 x .30 = 26.4
98 x .20 = 19.6
85 x .10 = 8.5
Total = 92.1

This is often used in the probability questions as well and this is also used in the weighted average...

The OA is 92.10...


I am sure this is not a GMAT question. The person who posted this has done it from somewhere else...
