If the standard deviation of Set Y is 4, what are the greatest and least values that are within one standard deviation of the mean?

(1) The median of Set Y is 5.

(2) The mean of Set Y is 6.

Hi,

Stmt 1:

Not useful. Does not lead anywhere.

Stmt 2:

(X - Mean) / Standard Deviation = -1 or +1

(X - 6) / 4 = -1 or +1

X - 6 = -4 or +4

X = 2 or 10.

Greatest Val = 10; Lowest Val = 2. Hence, sufficient.

Guess it is B. Pls highlight if it is right / wrong.
