Help seriously needed......please, please advise

Hi all,

I'm am due to sit the GMAT in 3 days time. So far my highest scores have been (and all of these I have taken in the last week):

GMATPrep: 640
Kaplan: 520
Princeton Review: 610

The average for the school I'm really want to get into is 680.

Please can you advise whether hitting 680 is likely at all or whether I would be better off delaying the exam for 4-5 weeks. I don't particularly want to delay the exam as I wanted to meet the round 2 deadline.

Can anyone think of any reason to sit the GMAT when he or she is unlikely to get the score needed.

All opinions are appreciated.

I would wait to retake. Give yourself more time to study and get closer to your target score. Your application will be stronger if you can score higher with more prep, so your chances will be better if you wait.

I think delfosse's advice is right--I would think about delaying your test.

Based on your scores, I think that a 680 is certainly within your grasp, although I believe the odds are against you at this point. I think you would benefit from the additional time for study.

i hv nothing to say since i d given my best answer already a week ago.
hope you seen that.

just one question: do you get a full return of money if you canceled or postponed the test?

Thanks for the answers. With only 3 days to go....I will get no refund at all. I will have to repay the full fee again to change the date.

Is this your first time taking the GMAT? If so, then I think I might change my recommendation. A lot of people take the GMAT two times, and business schools don't think any less of these applicants. They will always accept/consider your highest score.

If this is your first time taking the test, then I don't think it would hurt to just go for it.

It's a shame to see you lose that money...

JUST REMEMBER ONE THING- YOU DONT HV JUST 3 DAYS BUT MORE THAN SEVENTY HOURS!!!

now you know thats a big no. dont count days. count hour and MINUTES!
JUST DO IT.

Ha, I totally didn't see that I wrote retake, not take. I shouldn't surf the forums when I am surfing tv channels too! LOL.

You are not that far. Sicne you will not get any of yoru money back, go and sit for the test. It will be a good experience, and who knows, maybe you will do really well. :D Good luck!
