Topic 1] Appositive.
According to MGMT forum, if appositive noun is concrete, it should be followed right after original noun. (https://www.manhattangmat.com/forums/the ... 73-30.html) Then, how about this sentence?

Floating in the waters of the equatorial Pacific, an array of buoys collects and transmits data on long-term interactions between the ocean and the atmosphere, interactions that affect global climate.

The term "interactions" is concrete but not absolute. So, the above sentence is wrong. Am I right?

Topic 2] -ing vs that, where
1)

A some fish, whose eggs require months to incubate
B some fish that have eggs requiring months to incubate
OA)A

2)
The Swedish warship Vasa, sunk in 1628 and raised in 1961, was preserved in the cold water of Stockholm harbor, where low salinity inhibits the growth of marine borers that in most seas devour every exposed scrap of a sunken ship's wooden hull.
A was preserved in the cold water of Stockholm harbor, where low salinity inhibits
B had been preserved in the cold water of Stockholm harbor, because of low salinity there inhibiting
OA)A

3)
Yellow jackets number among the 900 or so species of the world's social wasps, wasps living in a highly cooperative and organized society where they consist almost entirely of females-the queen and her sterile female workers.
A. wasps living in a highly cooperative and organized society where they consist almost entirely of
B. wasps that live in a highly cooperative and organized society consisting almost entirely of
OA)B

It is hard to catch the preferece between -ing and that(or where) in above questions.
(1) Is there any other factors making choice A is better than B in question 1) and 2)?
(I found parallellism issue in question number 1, and tense issue in question number 2)
(I wana especially know about the superiority between -ing and that form)

(2) I have no idea regarding question number 3)
