Option A says...they have increased there spending in order to counter the the activity of group.....this strengthen the above mentioned conclusion that they are more effective.... hence this option is just the opposite....

Option E says that company have changed the policy because they were faster and cheaper and not because of pressure from activist group....and hence weaken the statement...

I'd also go with E...as they are switching to product testing coz it's cheaper and not coz of any political pressure

I would go with option E as the correct option
