Hi all,

I'll be writing the GMAT in 2 months and am quite worried that I'm only scoring 33-40 the Quant range, despite 2 months of study already. How can I improve with 2 months left to go??????

1) Veritas Prep Quant Practice test - Q33
2) 800 Score Quant Practice test - Q38
3) Veritas Prep Quant Practice test - Q40
3) 800 Score Quant Practice test 2 - Q35
4) 800 Score Quant Practice test 3 - Q34
5) GMAT for Life Quant Practice Test - Q32

I'm so worried, as Quant is my MAJOR weakness... I've gone through theory and question types... but still having trouble... any advice???

Thanks

I was running into similar issues, but have seen some improvement lately which I attribute to the ever increasing pile of flashcards I've made for myself. Basically, as I work through problems, any time I run into a something I don't know or that I flip-flop on how to approach, I make a flashcard. I then review the whole stack every day making sure I'm hammering these concepts into my head.

It's also been a great way to stay fresh on a broad range of topics. In my prior approach, I'd just move down the list of topics, so when it came time to a CAT test, weeks may have gone by since I last reviewed some of the material. The flashcards have kept it all front and center.

Over the last several weeks I've gone from the mid 30's to consistently scoring in the low 40's. I still have a ways to go, but I've definitely seen some measurable improvement from this approach.

Hope that helps! I'd definitely be interested in hearing other suggestions!

I as well struggle with the quant area of the GMAT. It is interesting that you have used flash cards to improve your score! Are you using any other resources?? Speaking for myself, I am using the Knewton course + Manhattan GMAT books as my content guides...I think I am going to incorporate your flash card idea to help me remember everything!!

I should have elaborated more. I use the MGMAT books as my guide, and if I run into something I don't know from the OG or CAT's, I usually head to the MGMAT section first. Then based on that, I'll make a flashcard or two.
