LPU B.Lib.I.Sc (Bachelor of Library and Information Science) is a one-year undergraduate course offered by the university for students willing to take up their careers in library science. Students who have finished a Bachelor’s degree in any stream can further pursue a Bachelor of Library and Information Science. The course duration is a minimum of 1 year which may extend upto 2 years. B.Lib.I.Sc admission is through counseling and interview by the university. There is a 5% relaxation for students from North-East states and Defense personnel backgrounds. 10% relaxation is offered for an outstanding sportsperson. Course Eligibility Criteria B.Lib.I.Sc Candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% in Bachelor's degree in any discipline or equivalent LPU offers unique undergraduate courses like library programs. Students pursuing B. Lib course can get jobs in numerous sectors in a country like in Foreign Embassies, Museums and Galleries with reading rooms and Research facilities, News Agencies, Public/Private Libraries, Photo /Films Libraries etc., Since the competition isn't that high, students get an ample number of job opportunities.
