I have following CATs for gmat

Kaplan tests
Veritas tests
800 score tests
tests of a Random institute(TIME)-11

Well, I like those Veritas tests, but I'm a little biased here :)

Honestly, practice tests are great for cultivating certain strategic skills, and they should be a part of your study routine, but they're less good for learning the fundamentals required to breakdown questions. What other resources have you used? Have you worked through the OG questions?

Aristotle RC-30passages(Half)
SC grail-partially complete
Powerscore CR-referred on few topics

Hi Mechmeera,

Practice CATs are really just 'measuring devices' - they won't make you 'better' at any section of the Test. Since you're interested in the improving your Verbal scores, you'll need to focus on Verbal tactics - learning them and then consistently practicing.

You've listed a variety of resources, which means that either they have not taught you enough about Verbal tactics or that they have (and you haven't practiced what you've learned). There is something to be said for the 'style' of the material that you're working with. Books tend to be limited in what they can teach you (and can be 'biased' in their presentation styles). If you find that your current resources aren't helping to make the work easier, then you might need to invest in some new resources.

It looks like you've worked through a fair amount of material. Have you taken any practice tests since that earlier post? If not, I'd suggest taking one soon so that you have a sense of whether these additional resources have yielded any tangible benefits.
