Give Me A Trick to crack GMAT Verbal

by MBACRACKER » Mon Oct 31, 2011 9:23 am
Took GMAT today for the 3rd time and landed in a soup again..... The verbal score has been abysmal...17 to be precise.....Total 550. Guys please suggest what to do now? ....Never felt so reckless as I am experiencing right now.

Hi

It happens. But let me tell you that it is going to be better.

What were your previous score?
Which part of verbal kills you?
What is your background?
What were the materials you have been reading?

For one, make sure you are reading all passages carefully, not just skimming for the correct answer. Some answer choices are specifically constructed to attract people who skim.

I worked with a student who got a big jump in his RC accuracy by first reading the first and last sentence of each paragraph, then reading the passage carefully. Try that and see if it helps!
