gmat for the fourth time

by miamisaint » Mon Nov 01, 2010 11:20 pm
Hi everyone,,

I have givenGMAT for three times with the following scores,,

10th oct 2009---- 550 ( Q-44, V 21)
15th dec 2009---- 650 (Q-46, V 33)
10th oct 2010---- 620 ( Q-48,V 24)

normally in my mock tests (score 800) I was scoring in the range of 680-690 and I know I can score in that range.
I have 6 years of entrepreneurial experience, was managing operations in a company in India and managing around 300 people.

I want to target top global MBA schools.( HBS, WHarton, LBS, INsead , Kelloggs etc)

If I give Gmat for the fourth time and score in the 680-690 range will that be viewed negatively ?

and can I target top schools after giving four GMAT attempts ?

Best.

Dear miamisaint,

Schools use your highest total score in your evaluation, so your previous attempts should not be a factor. Many people take the GMAT more than 3 times. If you feel you can achieve a better score on that fourth attempt, then you should take the test again.

Good luck,
Lisa
