The good news about evening programs is that it's really the fulltime counterpart rankings that are considered the "standard" (even though US news and others still "rank" the part time programs). In other words, it's a bit easier to get into the part time programs and you can end up leveraging the full time reputation without quitting your job for two years. McDonough has a very respected part time program and you can essentially assume you will get the same benefits of being a graduate of the part time program as you would from the full time program. They even share faculty in many cases. Applications were up huge for PT programs last year according to GMAC and seem to be up again this year, although it's early to tell. This means the programs may be getting more competitive, but it sounds like from your background and location that it would be a good fit to go to G'Town, so I encourage you to apply for that reason alone.

You could also look at American University (Kogod). Georgetown, GW, and AU all have evening programs that are equivalent to the full time programs. Good luck with your decision.
