Higher GMAT for scholarship?

by IndianGirl » Mon Jan 17, 2011 11:12 pm
Hi

I have a 730 GMAT score. I would like to know if I should retake the GMAT to increase my chances of getting a scholarship at some top schools. Does a GMAT score of 760-770 favour scholarship opportunities compared to a 730?

I do understand 730 is a pretty good score but it would be very very difficult for me to fund my MBA without substantial financial aid.

Thanks!

You should research the schools that you want to go to and find out what scholarships they give out. There will generally be a description of the type of things they look for in an applicant. it's generally not just a high GMAT score alone e.g. you probably also need leadership and extra-curricular stuff
