Hi Stacy -

Here is my quik profile:

1. Work Ex: 8 years in Software industry in various roles, starting from trainee to Lead engineer (managed 4 team members). 4 years in India and last 4 years in USA

2. GMAT: 690 (Q 49, V 33, AWA 4.5)

3. Undergrad GPA, India (computer science): 3.6

4. Masters GPA (computer science): 3.93
School: Johns Hopkins University

5. Some extra-curricular Activites:

a. Ex VP-Education of my organization's Toastmasters club in Silicon Valley
b. Ex VP-Membership of local chapter of Toastmasters club in Silicon Valley
c. Group activity manager for my organization - role is to find team building volunteering opportunities in non-profits.

I want to apply to following schools for full time MBA

- Harvard
- Berkeley
- INSEAD
- ISB (India)
- UCLA

What are my chances ? I know that I have low AWA and Verbal score. Should I retake GMAT?

Dear ksharma1,

While you have some competitive aspects for your target schools, you have selected the most competitive schools for your list. Your GMAT is slightly below average, but certainly within range. However, your profile is over-represented at these schools and as such, a higher GMAT score would strengthen your profile relative to the applicant pool for those schools. You have some quality work experience and leadership in your extracurricular activities, so that will be beneficial for you.
