480 is way lower than I expected. I thought I might get a 580 to start.

How much better can I realistically expect to do. I heard that you can really only expect to earn maybe 50 points from where you score on the diagnostic. That only puts me at 530. I was originally shooting for 650 at least.

I'm a little shell shocked. Any tips, words of wisdom etc. Even if it's to pack it up and do something else.

Be brutally honest, please.

Gouman, you have only given one practice test and I dont think you can evaluate yourself on the basis of one test. Anyone can have a bad day..I have read so many posts on this forum from people scoring 700+ on practice tests but not doing so well on the real test.

I think you should give couple more tests before you can evaluate yourself. These practice tests would help you identify your weak areas and then you can work on them.

There are lots of brilliant mind here always willing to help others - so if you need any help on a particular topic you know where to go.

Dont get discouraged, stay focussed and believe in yourself.
