Hi,
I am a Chartered Accountant from India (with 8 years work-experience) and I am going to apply to few U.S. schools (in top 20) in R1 and R2. I understand we have to submit official transcripts from our under-graduation and graduation level (varies by college). Can somebody please suggest whether I have to get the following transcripts/copies of original certificates too -

1. S.S.C (Secondary Education). - Xth standard certificate - from Andhra Pradesh S.S.C. Board
2. Plus two - Intermediate - from Intermediate Board
3. B.Com (Graduation) and M.Com (Post-graduation) certificates from Nagarjuna University
4. Chartered Accountancy and Cost Accountancy transcripts

I suppose 3 and 4 should suffice and no college would ask for copies of original certificates of S.S.C. and Intermediate. Am I wrong? Should I get all of them please? Thanks a lot for your kind help. I searched a lot in this forum but couldn't find the appropriate reply in detail. Any pointers would be highly appreciated.

Thanks
Mukesh

Hi Mukesh,

3 should suffice. 4 is probably unnecessary unless you took actual courses to prepare for the exams. Generally, if you are a Chartered Accountant (or any other designation), then the transcript proof is more often than not unnecessary.

1 & 2 will probably never come up!

I hope that helps give you the direct response you were hoping for.
