As more and more people invest their money in savings certificates or money-market funds in order to earn higher interest, they are abandoning traditional low-interest investment havens such as passbook accounts and life insurance policies.

[A] As more and more people invest their money

While people have more and more been investing their money

[C] As money is more and more invested by people

[D] More and more, when investors put their money

[E] While, more and more, investors have been putting their money

Try this one from your end first and then see the OA as this one is from the GMAT software itself.

The OA given is B.

the priority stands as under:

(i) Meaning
(ii)Grammar
(iii) Concision

Follow this rule and you will find many questions being answered correctly.

Thanks & regards,
Amit

I concur with Bill. The correct answer has to be 'A'. Please recheck the OA from the source.

Sir Bill , It would be helpful if you can tell 'How' A is correct? My analysis is as below. Please, Advise.

1. I feel, it is wrong in terms of tense.
2. Looks correct. @Bill, What is wrong in this ?
3. Wrong. It should not be in passive voice.
4. Wrong place of 'More and more'
5. Seems correct but still feel that 'More and more' not placed correctly.

B changes the meaning. In the original, "more and more" modified the subject ("people"). In B, it modifies the verb ("have been investing").
