Can anyone pls explain wht the ans is C. I am confused between B and C. I understand about singular subject and plural verb but not about relative pronoun part as explained in OG.

In C,
that The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was published is a relative clause which correctly modifies the noun phrase same year. that is a relative pronoun which is used to introduce the relative clause.

In B,
By using as, we are comparing same year of publication with The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. This is obviously incorrect.
