Ok.. Let me explain this.

Intended meaning is a comparison between people in venture capitals and banking lenders [People].
Point is compare people to people.

A compares Venture capitals with Banking lenders. [wrong comparison. Venture capitals is not people.]
B compares correctly. it uses "those in venture capital" which refers to people.
C is trying to compare something IN banking to Venture capital. Again wrong comparison.
Logically IN banking should be compared with IN venture capital. Though it doesnt work here because it changes meaning.
D again comapres banking lenders with venture capital. Same error as A.
E has couple of errors.
In "those in venture capital" - "those" refers to banking lenders. Logically this is wrong.
Also I think the correct idiom is hesitant to. not hesitant for.

Small nitpicking here. I think 'those' refers to lenders in venture capital.

1. Contrary to those in venture capital, banking lenders seem hesitant to invest in new businesses.
Filling in for those,
2. Contrary to lenders in venture capital, banking lenders seem hesitant to invest in new businesses.

B is still right.

Having said that, in my opinion this is a poorly written sentence.
